I AM GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!! I still feel like a giddy five year old school girl! Micah took me out to the stratobowl yesterday (the day after my birthday). That is the place where he asked me to start courting him. Anyways, we pulled into the stratobowl and started walking back and a little ways down the road Micah stopped me and was like "whats that." So I looked and there was an envelope under a fallen tree with my name on it. In it was a poem he had written, (which after the fact he said he saw my bottom lip quiver as I read it). So I read the poem. It was really super sweet. So we haven't said I love you to each other yet, so after I read the poem I joined him on the log and he looked at me and said "I know I haven't told you this yet but I love you." and then he gave me a big hug. It took me just a second but I told him I loved him. So we sat there for a few seconds, took a couple pictures and continued walking. I asked him if there were more envelopes, to which he replied "maybe there is, maybe there isn't." Well we got to a point in the trail when Micah stopped and was like "oh man I spent so much time looking at you, I forgot to stop at the second envelope. So we had to go back and hunt for it. We found it and in it was a second poem (or the second part of the one poem.) After I read it, Micah got down on one knee (when I inhaled really loudly in shock). But he just looked at me and said "I love you" again. Well, we finally made it out to the stratobowl, and put the blanket on the ground that we had brought and just sat there talking. After awhile, it was about time to start heading back so we could meet my parents and grandma for supper to celebrate my bday and my grandmas. So he stood up, and reached into his pocket and pulled out a third envelope with my name on it. He told me "there is one more envelope, but I have to read this." and it was the third part of the poem, the proposal part. Part of the poem was "I am down on one knee, asking will you marry me." AHHHHHH So anyways, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring, which he had tied to his belt loop with a nylon cord (didn't want to bring the ring box because it would have been too obvious.) So he had some difficulty untieing the ring (which was good because it gave me a chance to "unfreak out." So I said yes (more than once I guess) and he slipped the ring on my finger and finished reading the poem, stood up, and we hugged. It was so beautiful!!! Its hard to even put into word how I feel other than SOOOOO excited! I am getting married to the love of my life and couldn't be happier! We are thinking January. More details to come when we know more!!!!!! |
